Beach Babes

Mark and I have been trying to get out of the house more lately. Last summer we were kind of in lock down with the girls. They were so little and it was really challenging to take them places. Futhermore, we really didn't want to expose them to anything so it was good for us to stay home last summer. We are miles from where we were last summer and we are making the most of it. We went to the beach last week and this weekend. Payton really loves the water. She would go swimming in the ocean all by herself if we would let her. Chloe and Jillian don't seem to be as interested, but they still enjoy being outside.

We have taken many trips to the park and many walks in thier choo choo wagon. They love to swing and just to be outside and explore. They are all attempting to walk at this point. Payton is walking all over the house. Chloe and Jillian and still very wobbly, but they will be walking all over the house in no time.

Right now our biggest challenge is dealing with sharing. I thought that triplets would just know how to share. They have shared everything up to this point, but I was wrong. They don't like to share any more than any other kid. It is a hard concept to teach a 1 year old. What is even worse, is that they are all biters. When someone takes something from them or they get mad at each other, they bite! Mark and I are not immune to the biting either. If we do something they don't like, they bite us too. We have tried doing time outs and the stern voices to no avail. I have heard from many people that the trick is to bite them back, I can't bring myself to do it. If anyone has any other suggestions besides bite them back please let me know. I have some older pictures on here. Mark's cousins came to visit on thier way to Tampa for Spring Break back in March. She sent us the pictures a while ago, but I am just getting them uploaded. The rest of the pictures are from the beach and some really cute videos. Enjoy!

Fun with the triplets

It has been WAY too long since I last posted. My goal was to post twice a month. I have fallen way behind. I have no good excuse except for being busy with the girls. Everything is going really well here. I can't believe it, but 2 of the girls are walking. Chloe was the first one to take a step or two, but now she and Payton are walking across the living room. They are still very wobbly, but they are practicing and getting better everyday. Jillian has taken a few steps, but she still prefers to crawl. However, she LOVES to watch her sisters walk and can't help but laugh at them when they fall. It is hilarious. I have a video of this below, it isn't as good as seeing it live, but you can hear her laughing. It seems like every time they do something cute, we run to get the camera out, but we are always too late. Over the past couple a weeks, they have really gotten into hugging and kissing. We LOVE that! The cutest part, is when they hug and kiss each other.

We haven't done too much outside of the house lately. We had a relaxing Mother's Day. Mother's Day marked an extra special time for us. Last year my Mother's Day gift was all the girls making it home from the hospital. So it has officially been 1 year since the girls came home. This year, the best gift ever was getting to sleep in. Mark and the girls got me a charm bracelet that has the girls birthstones on it. We took the girls to an outdoor mall and had lunch and just walked around. On the way home, we decided to take some back roads and ended up seeing a manatee in the water. That was a really cool bonus!

They are getting so big now! I don't even want to guess what they are weighing now, but they are certainly eating us out of house and home. Mark and I are almost taking nightly walks up to Publix, conveniently located across the street from our house. It is easier to put the girls in the choo choo wagon and walk rather than load them in and out of the car, plus it is more fun for them and good exercise. We have also been spending a lot of time at the park in our neighborhood. The girls love to swing. They are still small enough for 2 of them to share one swing, but not for long.

Another one of the videos posted below is of them playing in the in their inflatable pool. Uncle Conor bought them a HUGE pool for their birthday. One night I decided to blow it up in hopes we would use it the next day. We still haven't used it outside, but they LOVE to play in it. When we put it out, it takes up the entire living room. Most of the time we leave it in the hallway up against the wall. They still climb in it and have a blast bouncing around. Enjoy the pictures and videos. Some of them a pretty old. The beach pictures are from their birthday weekend in their new swim suits and sunglasses. We haven't been back since then. I hope to have another post up before the end of the month.
